Outlook For European Utilities: Harold Hutchinson – Credit Lyonnais Securities Europe

HAROLD HUTCHINSON is Head of Credit Lyonnais' European Utilities Team. After graduating with an MA Hons in Economics from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, followed by an M.Phil at St Antony's College, University of Oxford, he began his career as a lecturer in Finance at the University of St. Andrews. In London, he became Head of European Research at the Scandinavian group Carnegie International. He moved to Spain in the early 1990s, where he set up a specialist broker on Iberian and Latin American shares for UK merchant bank Singer and Friedlander. He has now been at Credit Lyonnais for three years and is based in Madrid, Spain. He has been consistently ranked in international surveys for his coverage of Iberian stocks and European utilities in general. Outside of his main work, Mr. Hutchinson keeps a wider interest in his subject area as a non-executive Director of the Regulatory Policy Institute, a UK think tank committed to public policy analysis. He has authored a Wiley Frontiers of Finance text entitled Portfolio Indexing - Theory and Practice. He is a keen sportsman, especially golf and skiing. Profile
