Nelson Murphy – At&t Latin America Corporation (attl)

NELSON A. MURPHY is Chief Financial Officer for AT&T Latin America Corp. He is an 18-year telecom finance vet with extensive national and international experience spanning 80 countries. He is responsible for coordinating, integrating and overseeing the activities of the company's five in-market CFOs, as well as leading all corporate finance efforts including controllership, budgeting, external reporting, operational controls and investor relations. Mr. Murphy came to AT&T Latin America from AT&T Corp., where he served for 16 years in various senior finance positions. Most recently, as Financial Vice President for AT&T Global Network Services and International Operations, he headed the company's $2.5 billion and 5,600-employee data/IP networking business unit across the globe. Previously, Mr. Murphy was Financial Vice President for AT&T Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in London, where he supported multiple business units with operations in 23 countries. Mr. Murphy was instrumental in launching AT&T's aggressive entry into the UK, as CFO for AT&T United Kingdom, where he provided financial leadership for the startup operation of AT&T's Communications UK Ltd. and the restructuring of AT&T ISTEL, a professional services company with operations in the UK and Western Europe. In the US, Mr. Murphy's more than 10 years of financial management credentials consist of numerous management-level positions at various AT&T business units, including AT&T Consumer Communication Services Organization and AT&T Network Systems.
