Neil Wilkin Jr. – Optical Cable Corporation (occf)

NEIL D. WILKIN JR. is President and Chief Financial Officer of Optical Cable Corporation, and serves on the company's Board of Directors. Mr. Wilkin joined Optical Cable Corporation as its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Director in September 2001, later being named Acting President in December 2001 and President in April 2002. Prior to joining OCC, Mr. Wilkin served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of homebytes.com, incorporated ('Homebytes'), a startup Internet venture headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, that became a recognized leader in online residential real estate brokerage, receiving national media attention as well as industry awards, and with AOL Time Warner and LandAmerica Financial Group as strategic investors. Prior to joining Homebytes in January 2000, Mr. Wilkin practiced law for over five years, concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate matters, working at McGuireWoods LLP in Richmond, Virginia, and Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, DC. A CPA for over 16 years, Mr. Wilkin practiced with Coopers & Lybrand (a predecessor to PricewaterhouseCoopers) before returning to graduate business school and law school. Mr. Wilkin earned his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, and received his undergraduate degree from McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
