MANUEL PIETRA, as co-Chief Executive Officer and President of The
Descartes Systems Group Inc., oversees the company's marketing
and sales, product development, network operations, and customer
and corporate services, with direct responsibility for the
executive management team. Mr. Pietra joined Descartes in 2002,
following over 20 years of experience with global information
technology solution providers including Nixdorf Computers, Baan
Company, QMCS and QNET. During his career he has actively
participated in and contributed to successful initial public
offerings in Europe, South Africa and the United States,
including serving as one of the founding members of the Baan
Americas management team at the time of Baan's IPO. Prior to
becoming an officer at Descartes, Mr. Pietra successfully
launched a personal venture capital firm with a focus in global

the present time?
Mr. Pietra: Established in 1981, the company has
