Large Cap Entertainment Stocks: Raymond Katz – Bear, Stearns & Co Inc

RAYMOND LEE KATZ is a Senior Managing Director at Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc., joining the firm in October 1994 to follow selected entertainment and cable stocks. His coverage list includes Cablevision Systems Corp., Rainbow Media Group, Charter Communications, Comcast Corp., Cox Communications, Liberty Media Group, AOL Time Warner, Disney, MGM, Fox Entertainment and Viacom. He is also directly responsible for the management of four other senior analysts who cover another 60 names in Broadcasting, Specialty Entertainment, Satellites, and Emerging Markets Media. Mr. Katz has been an Institutional Investor All-Star in cable and/or entertainment for the past 11 years. Prior to joining the firm, he was at Lehman Brothers from July 1990 to October 1994, where he also followed newspaper publishers. He was a Senior Analyst at Mabon, Nugent & Co. from March 1987 to July 1990. Prior to Wall Street, Mr. Katz held various financial positions in the entertainment, broadcasting and cable industries, working at CBS Records, the CBS Television Network, and CBS Broadcast Group. His last position was as Director of Strategic Planning for the CBS Broadcast Group from 1982 through 1986. In this position he was responsible for strategic planning, special projects, acquisitions and divestitures, and the management of CBS' cable operation in Texas.
