Joseph Kampf – Anteon International Corporation (ant)

JOSEPH M. KAMPF assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Anteon International Corporation in April of 1996. Anteon is regarded as a premier provider of information technology solutions, and systems engineering and integration services to the US federal government, including the Department of Defense, the intelligence community, and civilian agencies. From 1986 to 1993 he was an Executive with the Penn Central Corporation, first serving as Senior Vice President of its 6,500 employee Federal Systems Group, and subsequently as Executive Vice President of its $400 million revenue operating subsidiary. Before Penn Central, he was an Executive Officer of Adena Corporation from 1980 to 1985, raising European investment funds for development and exploration of petroleum reserves in the continental United States. In 1972, Mr. Kampf joined billionaire Daniel K. Ludwig's global organization where he developed strategies for foreign investments as diverse as liquefied natural gas projects in Java; international hotels; and a forest products company in the Amazon jungle, where from 1973 to 1980, he served as Chief Strategy and Financial Officer for the $1 billion development project. Prior to joining Mr. Ludwig, Mr. Kampf spent several years with Schenley Industries and from 1968 to 1972, he developed and took public, a chain of computer training centers in the US and South America. Throughout his career, he has focused on operations, change management, strategic planning, financial services, and mergers and acquisitions. In his current role with Anteon, his team has completed and fully integrated six acquisitions, leading to a high double-digit organic growth rate. He was the recipient of the 2002 KPMG High Tech Entrepreneur Award, which recognizes significant contributions to the advancement of technology in the greater Washington, DC area. Mr. Kampf holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He currently serves as Chairman of the Professional Services Council. Profile
