John W. Thompson, CFA, is Co-Manager of the Thompson Plumb MidCap Fund, and has been President of Thompson Investment Management, Inc., since its inception in January 2004. Most recently, he was President of Thompson, Plumb & Associates, serving in that position for 20 years. Before cofounding Thompson, Plumb & Associates, he served as Senior Trust and Investment Officer at Firstar Bank in Madison, Wis. Mr. Thompson earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA for the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Profile
