John Schulte – Consensus Pharmaceuticals Inc

JOHN G. SCHULTE has been Chief Executive Officer of Consensus Pharmaceuticals Inc. since November 2001. Most recently, Mr. Schulte was President and CEO of Somnus Medical Technologies, a publicly held medical device company which pioneered the use of radio frequency energy for the minimally invasive treatment of upper airway disorders, including sleep apnea. Somnus was recently acquired by the Gyrus Group, PLC. Prior to Somnus, Mr. Schulte was President of Genzyme surgical products, a $100 million division of the Genzyme Corporation which pioneered the concept of bio-surgery, combining biomaterials, gene therapy and cell therapy with devices to improve outcomes for cardiovascular and general surgery. Mr. Schulte brings more than 25 years' experience in the healthcare industry, including senior management positions with Target Therapeutics, which was acquired by Boston Scientific, and C.R. Bard, where he was Division President of the Interventional Cardiology Business.
