Jim Mccluney – Vixel Corporation (vixl)

JIM MCCLUNEY is president and CEO of Vixel Corporation. Mr. McCluney joined Vixel in April 1999, and shortly thereafter led the company through a highly successful initial public offering in October 1999. Since that time Mr. McCluney has spearheaded a program of expansion in the company's cache of product and solution offerings that today serve as its foundation for growth. Mr. McCluney's international experience in the high-tech industry spans over 20 years and includes a broad spectrum of leadership positions held in management and operations. Before joining Vixel, Mr. McCluney served as president of Crag Technologies (formerly Ridge Technologies), a storage subsystem and management software company which he co-founded in 1997. Prior to that, Mr. McCluney served as senior vice president of Worldwide Operations at Apple Computer. Mr. McCluney also held several corporate and international senior management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he successfully led complex multi-billion dollar operations.
