JAMES C. BURNS is President and Chief Investment Officer at J. W. Burns
& Company, a fee only investment counseling firm with offices in
Syracuse, New York and Savannah, Georgia. The company was founded in
1974 and currently manages approximately $400 million in assets for 400
clients nationwide. Mr. Burns is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA),
and holds memberships in the Association for Investment Management and
Research (AIMR) and the Rochester Society of Security Analysts. He has
also been on the Advisory Board of Buyside magazine. Mr. Burns has been
quoted in many newspapers and financial publications. He has also
appeared on CNBC as well as NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw. Mr. Burns
is a graduate of St. John Fisher College where he studied
