Interview with the President and CEO: Ur-Energy (URG)

Heili, Wayne
Wayne Heili is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ur-Energy. Mr. Heili joined Ur-Energy in 2007 as VP of Mining and Engineering, where his responsibilities included the direction and oversight of the development team for the company’s flagship Lost Creek Uranium ISR Project in Wyoming. Initial production operations started at the site in August of 2013. His career in the uranium mining industry spans more than 25 years, during which he has held operations, engineering, technical support, managerial and executive positions. Mr. Heili is a past president of the Wyoming Mining Association and currently holds the position of Vice President with the Uranium Producers of America. He also holds leadership positions in Rotary, Boy Scouts, and The Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration — SME. Mr. Heili received his Bachelor of Science in metallurgical engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1988 with an emphasis in mineral processing.  Profile
