HARVEY M. GUTMAN is Senior Vice President, Retail Development for
Pathmark Stores, Inc., the 12th largest supermarket chain in the
country. Pathmark operates in the New York-New Jersey-Philadelphia
metropolitan areas and is headquartered in Carteret, New Jersey. In his
current position, he is responsible for the company's real estate,
construction and engineering, investor relations, public and government
affairs, customer relations and acquisitions/divestitures. During his 26
year tenure at Pathmark, he has also been the Vice President for sales &
merchandising, grocery and frozen foods and the Vice President for sales
and merchandising for non-foods and pharmacy. Prior to joining Pathmark,
Mr. Gutman worked for five years (1970 through 1975) as the Director of
Research for Abraham and Straus - Federated Department Stores. Mr.
Gutman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rutgers
University, from which he graduated cum laude. He also earned his MBA in
Marketing, with a minor in Finance, from The Wharton School at the
University of Pennsylvania, from which he also graduated cum laude. Profile
