Daniel Ives is a Managing Director in the technology, media and telecom research group of FBR Capital Markets & Co., FBRC, specializing in enterprise software. Before joining FBRC in June 2000, Mr. Ives worked as a Financial Analyst at Home Box Office, HBO, in New York, focusing on cable companies, including AT&T, Charter, Comcast, Cox and Time Warner Cable. Through his experience of covering enterprise software on the sell side since June 2000, Mr. Ives has built a strong network of contacts in the software ecosystem, which has enabled him to analyze proprietary data points that support his thesis on various names under coverage. He has been quoted for his expertise in identifying and analyzing industry trends in numerous media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Investor's Business Daily, Barron's and International Herald Tribune.
