GREGORY SWIENTON – RYDER SYSTEM INC (R)

TRACY A. LEINBACH is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ryder System, Inc., a leading transportation and supply chain management solutions company headquartered in Miami, Florida. In this position, she is responsible for the corporation's financial management functions, including financial planning, accounting, corporate finance, treasury, bank relations, tax, investor relations, pension fund management, and strategic sourcing, including fuel and RyderFleetProducts.com. She also serves as a member of the company's Leadership Team. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Leinbach was the Executive Vice President of Fleet Management Solutions, where she was responsible for Ryder's Field Operations, Asset Management, Used Truck Sales, Maintenance, Fleet Management Solutions and Sales and Marketing efforts at the local, national and global levels. Ms. Leinbach joined Ryder's financial planning department in 1985 as a Staff Analyst. She served as Controller of several Ryder business units before her promotion to Vice President of Finance for Ryder Temperature Controlled Carriage in 1988. Later that year, Ms. Leinbach became Assistant Controller of Ryder Integrated Logistics. In 1990, she was appointed Director of Financial Planning for Ryder Transportation Services, an assignment she held until 1991, when she became Director of Finance and Administration. In 1993, she was elected Vice President ' Finance of Ryder Transportation Services. In 1996, she was elected Senior Vice President of Purchasing & Asset Management for Ryder Transportation Services. In January 1997, she was elected Senior Vice President of Business Services for Ryder Transportation Services. In 1998, Ms. Leinbach was elected Chief Financial Officer for Ryder Transportation Services. In this position, she also had responsibility for the Ryder Business Services Center. In January 1999, she was elected Managing Director of Ryder plc, the company's operating unit in the United Kingdom. Ms. Leinbach holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the College of William and Mary. Gregory T. Swienton is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ryder System, Inc., a Fortune 500 transportation and supply chain management solutions company. Mr. Swienton joined Ryder in June 1999 as President and Chief Operating Officer, a position he held until becoming President and CEO in November 2000. A Member of Ryder's board of directors since June 1999, Mr. Swienton was named its Chairman in May 2002. Before joining Ryder, he was Senior Vice President-Growth Initiatives at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation and also had served as the company's Senior Vice President of the coal and agricultural commodities business unit. Mr. Swienton joined the former Burlington Northern railroad in June 1994 as Executive Vice President of its intermodal business unit and became Senior Vice President of its industrial business unit when Burlington Northern Santa Fe was formed in September 1995. Before joining Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Mr. Swienton was Executive Director of Europe and Africa for DHL Worldwide Express, a position he held from 1991 until joining Burlington Northern. From 1988 to 1990, he was DHL's Managing Director of Western and Eastern Europe. He also served four years as Vice President and General Manager of DHL Airways, Inc. Mr. Swienton has held various positions with the Illinois Bell Telephone Company in Chicago and AT&T in Chicago and Minneapolis. In 2002, Mr. Swienton was awarded the National Safety Council's The Green Cross for Safety medal. He is a member of the board of directors of Harris Corp., a communications equipment company, and Lennox International, Inc., a provider of climate control solutions. He is also Chairman of the board of trustees of St. Thomas University in Miami. Mr. Swienton has been a frequent guest on financial market-oriented programming of major media including Fox Business Network, BBC, Bloomberg TV, CNBC and CNN, which in 2003 named him CEO of the Week.
