Gerard De Roquemaurel – Hachette Filipacchi Medias (pubf.pa)

GERALD DE ROQUEMAUREL is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hachette Filipacchi Medias. He holds an undergraduate degree in law as well as advanced degrees from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration of France, graduating from the latter in 1972. After completing his studies, he joined the French publishing company, Publications Filipacchi. In 1981, he was appointed to the post of Deputy Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Presse Hachette (which later changed its name to Hachette Filipacchi Presse). From 1983 to 1985, he was in charge of the international development of Publications Filipacchi and in 1984 was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Director of that company, which changed its name to Filipacchi Medias. Mr. de Roquemaurel is also director of Hachette S.A. and a co-director of the NMPP. In 1997, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Hachette Filipacchi Medias. In 1998, he was appointed to the 'Corporate Committee' of Lagardere Group. Mr. de Roquemaurel is a descendant of Louis Hachette, founder of the Librairie Hachette in 1826. Profile
