George W. Dunbar Jr. – Metra Biosystems Inc (mtra)

GEORGE W. DUNBAR, JR. joined the company as President, CEO and Director in 1991. Prior to joining the company, and from 1988, he was Vice President, Licensing and Business Development for The Ares-Serono Group, a Swiss health care company, where he established a licensing and acquisition group. From 1974 until 1987, he held various senior management positions with Amersham International, a health care and life sciences company, where he most recently served as Vice President for its Life Sciences business in North America. Mr. Dunbar also served as Amersham's General Manager for Pacific Rim markets and Eastern Regional operations and, prior to that, managed the international marketing of Amersham's medical and industrial radiosotopes. Mr. Dunbar also serves as a director of DepoTech Corporation, a drug delivery company, LJL Biosystems, a medical device company, Sonus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and The Valley Medical Center Foundation. Mr. Dunbar received a B.S. in electrical engineering and an M.B.A. from Auburn University and sits on the Auburn School of Business M.B.A. Advisory Board. Profile
