Frederick Thiel – Lantronix Inc (ltrx)

FREDERICK THIEL is President and CEO of Lantronix, Inc., Mr. Thiel is responsible for defining the company's direction and executing its strategic plan. Mr. Thiel joined Lantronix in April 1998, and sees himself as a team motivator who can help the company continue to be a leader in its target markets. Mr. Thiel is a visionary in the use and application of networking non-computers. A proponent of open industry standards, he has been a key player in the Fast Ethernet Alliance and Industrial Automation Open Networking Alliance. He continuously strives for consensus among leaders for overall industry improvement. Mr. Thiel started in the networking industry in the late 1980s, holding key executive positions at leading network companies including market leader Standard Microsystems Corp., a pioneer of switching technology and network adapters, and Alta Research Corp., which he co-founded. Immediately prior to joining Lantronix, Mr. Thiel served in a number of executive positions with CMD Technologies, a leading manufacturer of semiconductors and RAID storage controllers. He served as Vice President, General Manager of the storage division and Vice President, Marketing.
