FABIO GUALANDRIS was appointed President and CEO of Semitool, Inc. in
June 1998. Prior to that he was Director of the Automotive Business Unit
of the Dedicated Products Group of STMicroelectronics, NV.
STMicroelectronics, formerly SGS-Thomson, is the world's leading
supplier of analog integrated circuits, ranking among the top 10
worldwide semiconductor suppliers. Mr. Gualandris has been successful in
growing revenues on a global basis and improving profitability through
productivity and quality improvements. He has authored numerous papers
on semiconductor technology, research and development management and
production management and has developed four patents. He holds a Physics
