DAVID A. TWYVER brings a vast range of wireless and data networking
leadership experience to his position as CEO and Board Member of
Ensemble Communications Inc. He joined Ensemble in January 2000 with
over 30 years of telecommunications industry experience. Most recently,
he was a private investor providing guidance to developing wireless
companies and serving on the Boards of Directors of Metawave
Communications Corp. and Airspan Networks, Inc. As Chief Executive
Officer of Teledesic from 1996 to 1997, Mr. Twyver led this innovative
company from its early stage as a vision of its founders, Craig McCaw
and Bill Gates, to reality as a leader in the field of broadband
satellite communications. Previously, Mr. Twyver spent more than 20
years in key roles at Nortel and its related companies. In his last
position as President of Nortel Wireless Networks, he grew the global
wireless equipment business from $400 million to $2.5 billion in just
three years. He also served as Group Managing Director of Nortel Europe
Wireless, Managing Director of Northern Telecom UK and Vice President of
Technology for Nortel World Trade. He has served in the position of Vice
President of Northern Telecom Data Systems, Vice President of Private
Switching and Director of Data Network Products for Bell-Northern
Research and Director of Data Network Strategy for Bell Canada. Mr.
Twyver earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics
from Royal Roads Military College and University of Saskatchewan. Profile
