DAVID L. NUNES is President and CEO, Pope Resources. Mr. Nunes has been
with Pope Resources for six years. He served in a number of leadership
capacities in timberland acquisitions and third-party portfolio
management before being named to his current role in January 2002. Mr.
Nunes joined Pope Resources and its subsidiary Olympic Resource
Management from the Weyerhaeuser Company in 1997, where he had extensive
experience involving export log sales and marketing, timberland
acquisitions, mergers and acquisitions, and capital planning. He began
his career in the forest products industry in 1979 with the Seattle-
Snohomish Mill Company, where he worked in both sawmill operations and
sales capacities. He has a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Pomona
College and a M.S. in Industrial Administration Mellon University. Profile
