DAVE CORBIN is President and Chief Executive Officer Cooligy, Inc. Dave
brings 25 years of technology-industry experience to his position as
president and CEO of Cooligy. After earning B.S. and M.S. degrees in
electrical engineering from the University of Kansas, he joined the
semiconductor industry as an engineer, first at Intel and later at MIPS
Computer Systems. At MIPS he developed, sold, and supported the
architecture licensing business still in use today at MIPS Technologies,
Inc. In 1994, Dave joined Silicon Light Machines as vice president of
business development; three years later, he was promoted to president
and CEO. With $36 million from venture capital, corporate, and
individual investors, Dave successfully transitioned Silicon Light
Machines from a pure research organization to a product-development
company. After closing a $75 million technology licensing deal with
Sony, Dave conceived and orchestrated the $180 million merger of Silicon
Light Machines and Cypress Semiconductor Company in August 2000.
Immediately prior to joining Cooligy, Dave was the interim CEO of Kovio,
