CLIFFORD A. REID is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eloquent,
Inc. Dr. Reid has spent his career starting and growing venture-backed
companies that commercialize new information management technologies. As
a Founder of Eloquent, Inc., and currently Chairman of the Board, Dr.
Reid has grown the company into the leading provider of turnkey rich
media communications solutions to Global 200 organizations. Previously,
Dr. Reid was a Founder of Verity, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise
knowledge retrieval solutions for corporation intranets, online
publishers, and OEMs and ISVs. During his five years at Verity, Dr. Reid
was Vice President of Product Development and Executive Vice President,
and was responsible for the development of Verity's TOPIC family of
products. Dr. Reid also acted as the company's Chief Technologist and
spokesperson. Dr. Reid holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, a
Master's degree in Business Administration, and a PhD in Engineering-
