C. William Zadel – Millipore Corporation (mil)

C. WILLIAM ZADEL is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mykrolis Corporation, a multinational company focused on developing, manufacturing and marketing technically advanced filtration, purification and control products for the global semiconductor industry. Mykrolis is the former microelectronics division of Millipore Corporation and, as such, has served the semiconductor industry for over 25 years. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer of Mykrolis at its separation from Millipore in August 2001, Mr. Zadel was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Millipore from April 1996. Mr. Zadel is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York and holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago. Prior to joining Millipore Corporation, Mr. Zadel was President and Chief Executive Officer of Ciba Corning Diagnostics Corp. for 10 years. Prior to joining Ciba Corning, Mr. Zadel held marketing, operations and general management positions with Quaker Oats, Johnson and Johnson, and Abbott Laboratories. Prior to his years of industrial experience, Mr. Zadel was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps, serving in both Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and the Republic of Vietnam. Mr. Zadel is currently on the Board of Directors of Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc.; Matritech, Inc.; Citizens Bank of Massachusetts; and the Massachusetts High Technology Council. Profile
