ALAN J. LACY was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Sears,
Roebuck and Co. in December, 2000. Mr. Lacy has held several positions
with Sears. Prior to joining Sears, he was President, Philip Morris
Capital Companies, Inc.; Vice President, Financial Services and Systems,
Philip Morris Capital Companies, Inc.; Senior Vice President, Finance
and Strategy, Kraft General Foods; and various senior financial
positions at Kraft, Incorporated, Dart and Kraft, Incorporated, and Dart
Industries, Incorporated. He has an MBA from Emory University, a BS from
Georgia Institute of Technology and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Profile
