A Selective Stance on Restaurant Stocks in the Current U.S. Macro Environment

Brian Vaccaro, Vice President, joined the Raymond James & Associates, Inc. equity research department in 2005 and became an Analyst in 2014. Mr. Vaccaro has been covering the restaurant sector since joining the company, and during this time, the Raymond James & Associates, Inc. restaurant team has been honored numerous times for stock picking and estimate accuracy by both The Wall Street Journal “Best on the Street” survey and StarMine. Mr. Vaccaro was also named a Rising Star in the 2015 Institutional Investor survey. Prior to joining Raymond James & Associates, Inc., Mr. Vaccaro spent two years with Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting, where he was generalist and worked on various engagements within the consumer staples, telecom and health care industries. TWST: What is the overall environment for restaurants right now?

Mr. Vaccaro: I would say, broadly speaking, I'm a bit more cautious on the U.S. macro backdrop
