Gary Steele

Gary Steele has served as CEO of Proofpoint, Inc., a leading next-generation cybersecurity company, for nearly 14 years. Under his leadership, through its founding and following a successful 2012 IPO, Proofpoint has experienced 52 consecutive quarters of growth at a 32% compound annual growth rate. Today, more than 50% of the global Fortune 100 trust Proofpoint’s innovative solutions to protect their people, brands and confidential information. Prior to Proofpoint, Mr. Steele served as the CEO of Portera, and held leadership positions with Sybase, Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard. He holds a B.S. degree in computer science from Washington State University.
