Rocco B. Commisso

ROCCO B. COMMISSO is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
of Mediacom Communications Corporation, the ninth largest cable
television company in the United States serving approximately 820,000
basic subscribers in 23 states, including its pending acquisitions.
Mediacom was founded in 1995, to acquire and operate cable systems
principally in non-metropolitan markets and today offers an array of
broadband services, including cable television, high-speed Internet
access and advanced digital video programming. From 1986 to 1995, Mr.
Commisso served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and
a Director of Cablevision Industries Corporation, which was the eighth
largest cable television company serving 1.3 million customers, at the
time of its sale to Time Warner Inc. in 1996. Prior to that time, Mr.
Commisso served as Senior Vice President of Royal Bank of Canada’s
affiliate in the United States from 1981, where he founded and directed
a specialized lending group to media and communications companies. Mr.
Commisso began his association with the cable industry in 1978 at The
Chase Manhattan Bank, where he was assigned to manage the bank’s
corporate finance activities with media and entertainment companies,
including the cable television industry. Mr. Commisso serves on the
Board of Directors of SoftNet Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFN), the National
Cable Television Association, Cable Television Laboratories, Inc., and
C-SPAN. Recently, he was the recipient of the 2000 Ernst & Young
Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Southwest Connecticut/New York
Hudson Valley. Mr. Commisso holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Industrial Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from
Columbia University.
