Robert Greene

ROBERT GREENE is the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Lava Inc. (AMEX:
DGV), a leader in on-demand communications and e-learning solutions
utilizing rich media and streaming technology. Prior to joining Digital
Lava, Mr. Greene spent 13 years in the cable industry with Showtime
Networks, Inc., a division of Viacom. He has held several management
positions that included responsibility for generating over $250 million
in annual revenue from the sales, marketing, and channel distribution to
all the industry leaders such as Time/Warner, TCI, Cox Communications,
Comcast, Jones Intercable, Times Mirror and Cablevision Systems. In his
last position, as Senior Vice President/Zone General Manager, Mr. Greene
was part of the senior management team responsible for the development
of new cable channels and the integration of the acquisition of
Blockbuster Video by Viacom. After leaving Viacom, Mr. Greene joined The
Lightspan Partnership, Inc., a privately held company which provides
interactive educational programming for schools and homes using digital
video and Internet technology. Reporting directly to the CEO, Mr. Greene
was responsible for rapidly expanding the company’s sales, marketing and
business development activities into the institutional and consumer
education market. Mr. Greene was part of the management team that raised
over $110 million dollars in funding from Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield &
Byers, Accel Partners, TCI, Tribune, Microsoft, Comcast, Merrill Lynch
and various other institutional investors. He is credited with
successfully negotiating with Sony to utilize the Sony PlayStation for
exclusive distribution of the Lightspan educational software to schools,
which provided the foundation for the company to initiate all of its
sales and marketing activities. Mr. Greene developed and expanded an 80-
person sales force and a 15-person marketing and business development
staff that resulted in growth in revenues to $35 million. Mr. Greene has
over 20 years of management experience in the technology industry, with
over half of that time spent in positions focused on operations
management and sales and marketing. Mr. Greene holds a Bachelor of Arts
degree from the University of Virginia and has a Certificate of
Marketing Management from the University of Denver.
