Richard A. Packer

RICHARD A. PACKER joined ZOLL Medical Corporation in 1992 and in
November 1999 was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors
and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Packer served as President,
Chief Operating Officer and Director from May 1996 to his
appointment as Chief Executive Officer. Since 1992 he has served
as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations of
the company. From 1987 to 1992, Mr. Packer served as Vice
President of various functions for Whistler Corporation, a
consumer electronics company. Prior to this, Mr. Packer was a
manager with the consulting firm of PRTM/KPMG, specializing in
operations of high technology companies. Mr. Packer is a Director
of Lifecor, Inc., and serves as a member of Lifecor’s
Compensation Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors
of MassMEDIC and Biofertec, Ltd. Mr. Packer received BS and M Eng
degrees from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from
the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
