R. L. Blossom

R. L. (RICK) BLOSSOM became President and Chief Executive Officer
of Second National Bank and President and Chief Executive Officer
of Second Bancorp Incorporated, the one-bank holding company and
parent of Second National Bank, on December 6, 1999. On May 9,
2001, Mr. Blossom was elected chairman of Second National Bank
and Second Bancorp. Mr. Blossom previously served as President,
Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors
of the Hamilton, Ohio-based First National Bank of Southwestern
Ohio, a $1 billion bank which operates 31 retail banking centers
in four southwestern Ohio counties. A graduate of Miami
University and a veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr.
Blossom currently serves the Ohio Bankers Association as a member
of the Board of Directors of Ohio BankPac and a member of the
OBA’s Government Relations Council. He attended the American
Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Cornell
University’s Business of Banking School, graduate seminars in
leasing at the University of Wisconsin, and the advanced
commercial loan program of the Bank Management Institute. In the
Hamilton community, Mr. Blossom served on the board of directors
of the Hamilton Economic Development Corporation and the finance
committee of the Fitton Center of Creative Arts. He was also
Chairman of the Butler County United Way’s 1999 fundraising
campaign. A graduate of Leadership Hamilton, he served as a
member of the board of directors of the Dan Beard Council of the
Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Blossom is a member of the executive
committee for the Mahoning Valley Economic Development Council.
He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Trumbull
County United Way, the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, and
Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges, Inc. Second National
Bank, headquartered in Warren, Ohio, provides a full range of
commercial and consumer banking, trust, insurance and investment
products and services. Second Bancorp stock is publicly traded on
the Nasdaq under the stock symbol SECD. From a small, Warren-
based bank, Second National has evolved to a full-service
financial services company with assets of $1.72 billion, as of
April 30, 2002.
