R. Kent Hermsmeyer

R. KENT HERMSMEYER is Founder, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors
of Dimera Incorporated. The inspiration for company formation stems from results
from CV animal research Dr. Hermsmeyer conducted with collaborators and students
for over 35 years in academic settings, principally at the University of Iowa
(1973-1986) as a Professor of Pharmacology, and at Oregon Health Sciences
University as a Professor of Cell and Developmental Biology and jointly as
Research Professor of Medicine (1987-1999). Dr. Hermsmeyer’s research is world
renowned for contributions that number over 140 articles published in high
profile academic journals, including Nature Medicine, Science, American Journal
of Physiology and Circulation Research. He is a Fellow of the American Heart
Association and has contributed expert chapters or reviews to more than 10
textbooks and monographs.
