Peter Marrone

PETER MARRONE has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of
Yamana Gold Inc. for the past year. He has extensive experience with
public mining companies. He has served on the Board of Directors and
Advisory Committees of numerous companies listed on Canadian stock
exchanges and has experience in Brazil and with Brazilian mining
companies. He has been familiar with Yamana’s assets in Brazil for the
past decade and was instrumental in the creation of Yamana last year.
Most recently, before Yamana, he was head of investment banking at a
Canadian investment dealer and prior to that he was a leading Canadian
securities lawyer. Mr. Marrone has over 18 years of business and capital
markets experience.
