Neil Dabney

NEIL DABNEY is co-founder and Managing Director of Dabney Flanigan, LLC,
an investment banking and brokerage firm with headquarters in Los
Angeles and offices in New York that specializes in high yield,
distressed and special situations investing. For the past 25 years, Mr.
Dabney has served in several management capacities with Dabney/Resnick,
Inc. a Beverly Hills Investment firm he co-founded, Drexel Burnham,
Oppenheimer & Co. and E.F. Hutton, where he started as a broker trainee
in 1975. In 1994, he co-authored a chapter on investing for two books:
‘The New Era of Investment’ banking and ‘The New High Yield Bond
Market’. In eight years at Dabney/Resnick, Inc., Mr. Dabney served as
Chief Investment Strategist, Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of
Institutional and Retail Sales. He was also a member of the Corporate
Finance Commitment Committee and a Board member. During his tenure, the
company grew from six to 120 employees and diversified into distressed
California real estate and emerging markets corporate debt with Mr.
Dabney personally overseeing the day-to-day management of $100 million
of customer funds dedicated to high yield and distressed investing. He
holds many NASD licenses including: General Securities Representative,
General Securities Principal, Financial Operations Principal Municipal
Securities Principal, and Registered Options Principal. He has also
passed the Uniform Investment Advisor law Examination. Mr. Dabney is a
Trustee of the Brentwood School in Brentwood, California, a member of
the Board of trustees and Governor of the henry Kravis Leadership
institute at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. He
received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology in 1974
from Claremont McKenna College.
