Mark Moerdler

Mark Moerdler, Ph.D., is the Senior Research Analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., LLC, covering the global software industry. Before joining Sanford C. Bernstein, he was Vice President of Strategy for Mergers and Acquisition at CA Technologies, Inc. He joined CA Technologies in June 2006 as Vice President of Business Unit Strategy, when the company he cofounded, MDY Advanced Technologies, Inc., was acquired by CA. At the time, MDY Advanced Technologies was the leader in records management software, according to Gartner and Forrester Research. Dr. Moerdler received two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in computer science from Columbia University.
