Mark J. Emkjer

MARK J. EMKJER is President and Chief Executive Officer of Accelrys,
Inc. Mr. Emkjer brings more than 20 years of management experience to
Accelrys, most recently as President and Chief Operating Officer of
Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., an information technology business
with annual revenues approximating $150 million. Sunquest develops
laboratory, radiology and pharmacy systems, supplying the high-end
Integrated delivery network market and was recently successfully merged
into Misys, PLC. Prior to joining Sunquest, he was President and Chief
Executive Officer of Pace Health Management Systems, Inc., a provider of
clinical decision support software.
