Kim Allen

KIM ALLEN is CEO of Universe2U Inc. Mr. Allen, as the CEO of
Universe2U’s affiliated companies ‘ Fiber Optics Corporation of Canada
Inc., Canadian Cable Consultants Inc., Photonics Design & Engineering
Inc., CableTec Communications Inc., Multilink Networks Inc., and Coastal
Networks Inc. ‘ is well suited to working with the utilities and
therefore provides the appropriate level of guidance to all of the
subsidiaries. Prior to joining Universe2U Inc., Mr. Allen was the
founding President of DTE/Probyn Energy Solutions, a joint venture
between DTE Energy Solutions (Detroit Edison) and Probyn & Company. Mr.
Allen was the CEO of Scarborough Public Utilities Commission. In a 12-
year career with Ontario Hydro, Mr. Allen held a number of management
positions that included engineering, operations and information systems
functions, marketing and retail. Mr. Allen has achieved a Master of
Business Administration at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of
Applied Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Ottawa.
Throughout his career, Mr. Allen has held positions in and contributed
to many professional organizations, including the Professional Engineers
of Ontario, Toronto Energy Club, Municipal Electric Association, and the
Canadian Electrical Association.
