John W. Cox

JOHN W. COX is the Chief Financial Officer of BMC Software, Inc., the
leading provider of enterprise management. Mr. Cox joined BMC Software
in October 1989 as Manager of Taxation and was named Director of the
group in October 1991. Since then, Mr. Cox has served as Vice President,
Chief Accounting Officer and Controller of BMC Software. He has also
headed the investor relations’ function since 1991. Prior to joining BMC
Software, Mr. Cox was a manager in the Houston office of Ernst & Young
LLP. Mr. Cox received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas
A&M University in 1981.
