John H. Laporte

JOHN H. LAPORTE is a member of the Board of Directors of T. Rowe Price
Group, Inc., and a Vice President and Equity Division Steering Committee
member of T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. He is a Portfolio Manager in
the Equity Division. Mr. Laporte is President of the New Horizons Fund
and Chairman of the Fund’s Investment Advisory Committee. He is a Vice
President and Investment Advisory Committee member of the Diversified
Small-Cap Growth Fund, Health Sciences Fund, Personal Strategy Funds,
Spectrum Growth Fund and Spectrum Income Fund. In addition, Mr. Laporte
manages a number of separate institutional accounts specializing in
emerging growth stocks. He has been managing portfolios since 1984.
Mr. Laporte served as the firm’s Director of Research from 1982 to1987
and before that, was an Investment Analyst. Prior to joining the firm
in 1976, he was an Investment Research Analyst for Pershing & Co., a New
York brokerage firm. Mr. Laporte earned an AB degree from Princeton
University and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. In addition,
he is a past President of the Baltimore Security Analysts Society. Mr.
Laporte also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst accreditation.
