Jimmy W. Hayes

JIMMY W. HAYES was named Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief
Financial Officer for Cox Communications, Inc., in 1995. He joined Cox
Enterprises, Inc., in 1980 as Accounting Manager, was promoted in 1981
to Assistant Controller and in 1982 was named a corporate officer. In
1989, he joined Cox Cable as Vice President of Finance before being
promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance in 1992. Prior to joining
Cox, Hayes was an Audit Manager with Price Waterhouse & Company in
Atlanta. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Mr. Hayes holds
bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. He also completed the
Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School in 1989.
