Ian Reid

IAN REID was appointed President and CEO of Sierra Systems Group Inc. in
November 2004, having served as a Director since February 2001. Mr.
Reid, a Founder of the company, was Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer when he retired from the company in 1999. Mr. Reid was
primarily responsible for Sierra Systems’ successful initial public
offer in 1998, and was involved in the company’s acquisitions from both
operational and financial viewpoints. Mr. Reid’s current public
corporate directorships include Absolute Software Corporation, Gemcom
Software International Ltd. and several private companies. Non-profit
directorships include the B.C. Cancer Foundation and Shawnigan Lake
School. Mr. Reid is a member of the Vancouver Enterprise Forum, the
Financial Executives Institute, the Institute of Corporate Directors and
the Investment Advisory Council for Growthworks, a major venture capital
company. Mr. Reid graduated from the University of Victoria with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Math and Philosophy, and has held a
commission in the Canadian Naval Reserve.
