Gary T. Krenek

GARY T. KRENEK is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Diamond
Offshore Drilling, Inc. Prior to his promotion to this position in March
1998, Mr. Krenek held the position of Controller for the previous six
years. He began his career at Diamond M Company, a predecessor of
Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc., in September 1983 and has held various
management positions. Mr. Krenek graduated in 1980 from Louisiana State
University with a degree in Accounting. He worked at the Houston office
of the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP from 1980-1982 in the
Audit Department. Mr. Krenek worked in the accounting department at
Sonat Offshore Drilling Inc., a predecessor of Transocean Offshore Inc.
from 1982-1983. Mr. Krenek became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982.
