Gary C. Granoff

GARY C. GRANOFF has been the President and Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Ameritrans Capital Corporation since its formation in 1999.
Prior to that, Mr. Granoff was President of Elk Associates Funding
Corporation from its formation in 1980 and became Chairman of the Board
of Directors of Elk in 1995. Mr. Granoff has been a practicing attorney
for the past 31 years and is presently an officer and stockholder in the
law firm of Granoff, Walker & Forlenza, P.C., in New York City. Mr.
Granoff is a member of the bar of the State of New York and the State of
Florida and is admitted to the United States District Court of the
Southern District of New York. Mr. Granoff was elected to and served as
a Trustee of The George Washington University from 1998 through June 30,
2003, when his term expired. During his term as a Trustee, he served as
Chairman of the Finance Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Investment
Committee as well as other committees of the Board. Mr. Granoff also
serves as a Trustee of the Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and
Rehabilitation and has served on the Finance and Investment Committees
of Parker’s Board. Mr. Granoff has been listed in various Marquis Who’s
Who publications such as Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American
Law, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who in Finance and Industry. He
holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from
The George Washington University in Washington, DC, (1969) and a Juris
Doctor degree (with honors) from The George Washington University Law
School (1973).
