Eli Barkat

ELI BARKAT has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief
Executive Officer of BackWeb Technologies Ltd. since 1996. From
1988 to February 1996, Mr. Barkat served as a Managing Director
and Vice President of Business Development of BRM Technologies,
Ltd., a technology venture firm in Israel. Prior to 1988, Mr.
Barkat held various positions with the Aurec Group, a
communications media and information company, and Daizix
Technologies, a computer assisted design applications company. In
addition Mr. Barkat served as a paratrooper in the Israel Defense
Forces where he attained the rank of lieutenant. Mr. Barkat has a
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics
from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
