Don Ho

DON HO, President and CEO of CPAC (Care) Holdings Ltd., was educated in
Hong Kong, where he earned degrees in Civil Engineering and Structural
Engineering, and also became an Authorized Architect. Upon graduation in
1966, Mr. Ho joined Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick & Partners, where he was
involved in the design and construction of major projects such as the
Hong Kong Cross Harbour Tunnel, the Plover Cover Water Scheme and the
Hong Kong Airport Runway Extension. In 1973, he took on a position as
Senior Lecturer of Civil and Structural Engineering at Hong Kong
Polytechnic University. In 1976, he founded Associated Architects &
Engineers, of which he was Principal Partner until he moved to Canada.
In 1986, Mr. Ho established his home in Vancouver and founded Trans City
Group of Companies, which include investment, property development and
property management and sales. Trans City successfully developed and
constructed a full range of residential and industrial projects in
Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. Mr. Ho founded CPAC
in 1995, drawing upon his more than 35 years of combined professional
experience as a Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer and Authorized
Architect, and a successful real estate developer. Under Mr. Ho’s
guidance, CPAC has met with success and growth in a number of British
Columbia communities, earning the company a place on Profit Magazine’s
first annual list of ‘Canada’s 50 Hottest Startup Companies.’ Mr. Ho
himself has been recognized for his vision and leadership by a number of
organizations, including being named as finalist in the prestigious
Ernst and Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ program in 2001.
