David C. Cooper

DAVID C. COOPER currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Acsys, Inc., and
was instrumental in leading efforts to create Acsys, now one of the
nation’s largest specialty professional staffing firms. The company is
headquartered in Atlanta, and specializes in accounting, finance and
information technology permanent placement and temporary/contract
staffing. The company became publicly traded in 1998, and is listed on
the American Stock Exchange under the symbol AYS. Acsys has 40 offices
nationwide from Atlanta to San Francisco, more than 600 employees and
1999 revenues of $166 million. Mr. Cooper began his staffing industry
career in 1980, when he founded David C. Cooper & Associates, an
Atlanta-based financial search and staffing firm, and served as the
firm’s president until 1997. Under his leadership, David C. Cooper &
Associates grew to become one of Atlanta’s largest and most respected
names in financial search and staffing. Mr. Cooper merged the Atlanta
firm with six other market-leading staffing firms starting in May 1997
to form the nucleus of Acsys. He served as the company’s Chairman of the
Board from 1997 until December 1999, when he accepted the additional
position as company’s CEO. Mr. Cooper is a Georgia native, and received
his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the
University of Georgia. For six years he served as President of the
American Association of Accounting and Finance, a national network of
independently owned accounting and finance permanent placement and
temporary staffing businesses.
