Daniel Heyler

Daniel Heyler is Managing Director, Bank of America Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific) Ltd., and Global Coordinator of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch semiconductors research team. He joined Merrill Lynch in June 1999 as the firm’s regional semiconductors Analyst based in Taipei. In January 2009, Bank of America acquired Merrill Lynch, becoming the bank’s wealth management division. Mr. Heyler covers 20 Asian semiconductors stocks and works closely with Eiichi Katayama to coordinate pan-Asian tech research. Mr. Heyler’s team was ranked number one for technology semiconductors in the 2011 Institutional Investor All-Asia Research Team survey. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Heyler worked for Gartner Group as an Asian technology Analyst and for Dataquest Inc. as a semiconductors Analyst based in Silicon Valley. Mr. Heyler received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1999 and his bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is currently based in Hong Kong.
