Alan Wilson

Alan Wilson is the Chief Investment Officer and a Portfolio Manager at Talon
Asset Management. He has lectured at numerous universities and investment
seminars on portfolio management topics. His 35 year career includes consulting
with some of the wealthiest families in the US. From 1976 to the 1983 inception
of Talon, he served as Vice President and Chairman of Special Investment
Services at the Harris Trust and Savings Bank overseeing $2 billion in assets.
In that capacity he advised the Harris’ largest wealth management clients on
portfolio matters including the sale of private and public companies. The
families that he represented held controlling interests in major companies
including the Harris Trust, G. D. Searle, Motorola, Upjohn and Pebble Beach
Corporation. Mr. Wilson attended Northeastern Illinois University where he
received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970. In the U.S. Army, he conducted
classified research in the Combat Development Experimentation Command and worked
on defense planning for NATO. He later entered the Business School at Arizona
State University where he in 1976 earned his MBA degree in Finance. In 1981 he
received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
