DR. VAIKUNTH N. GUPTA is the President and CEO of Wisor Telecom Corp., a
company he founded in July 1997 to pursue the business opportunities
created by the Telecom Act of 1996. Prior to this, Dr. Gupta was a
Consultant to the US Federal Communications Commission during the
critical implementation phase of the Act. Prior to Wisor Telecom, Dr.
Gupta was the Founder and CEO of CTel, a company that was acquired by
ECI Telesystems and recently spun out as a public company with a market
cap of $700 million. During his business experience, Dr. Gupta has
developed key business relationships in both national and international
telecom markets. He has over 19 years of experience in progressive
positions of responsibility, including product conceptualization,
research and development, marketing and sales and senior management. Dr.
Gupta was one of the original founding Board members of the Maryland
High Technology Council. He holds a PhD from the University of Kentucky
and has served as an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University. Profile
