Mads Boye Petersen

Mads Boye Petersen serves as Chief Executive Officer of Pangaea Logistics Solutions Ltd. and is responsible for the strategic direction, commercial development, execution, and safety. Before being appointed CEO, Mr. Petersen served as Chief Operating Officer from April 2022, overseeing the business’s commercial, operational, and technical functions. His previous role was Managing Director for the wholly owned subsidiary Nordic Bulk Carriers, a position he held since 2009. Mr. Petersen spearheaded the development of the ice-class service offering, which Pangaea now holds a market-leading position in. His experience includes customer-facing activities, ESG initiatives, and the development of vessel performance optimization strategies. Before joining Pangaea, Mr. Petersen held various operational and management roles in the dry bulk industry. Mr. Petersen earned an Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics from Copenhagen Business School, as well as various courses in Strategy and Artificial Intelligence.
