Steven Wilson – Advantage Schools Inc

STEVEN F. WILSON is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Advantage Schools, Inc., the nation's largest charter school management company. Before founding Advantage Schools in 1996, Mr. Wilson was Special Assistant to the Governor and Director of Strategic Planning for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Mr. Wilson was responsible for Governor William Weld's 'reinventing government' initiatives, including the administration's proposal to reorganize Massachusetts state government. Prior to joining the Weld Administration, Mr. Wilson was the Executive Co-Director of the Pioneer Institute for Public Policy Research a Boston think tank focused on state policy reforms. He is author of the book Reinventing the Schools: A Radical Plan for Boston, a study of the Boston public schools and an action plan for their reform. Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Harvard College.
